Crystal Shrine Shatters as Hetias Breaks In Inside the Crystal Shrine, Theren demands to know if his eldest son means to defy him. Damon answers by tearing open fifteen years of scar: Theren burned Lydia, his own sister, for the same forbidden gift now burning in Calista. Damon will not let his daughter become another ash-stained lesson. He renounces the shrine, takes Calista’s hand, and moves to leave House Severu behind. Theren’s fury follows—banishment, stripped mage honor, a name cast out. Before the doors can close, Hetias and his Flame Clan warriors smash through them. The leader of the Flame Clan has come for blood, and the ice-and-fire duel begins with Damon standing between his father’s law and Hetias’s fire. As Theren strips Damon’s honor, Hetias kicks open the Crystal Shrine doors—who will the Flame Clan demand to face first?
