Hera Claims Power—Then Athena Goes Live Hera lets Vice President Hephaestus see a vulnerable side of her in private, then the emergency meeting begins: Zeus’s sex scandal, the transfer of power, and who controls the room. Hera walks in uninvited and announces she will exercise executive orders for her ill husband. Hephaestus hits back with the 25th Amendment, turning her claim into a constitutional fight. Before the argument can settle, Athena—Hera’s predecessor—goes live and accuses Hera of being an accomplice in the Eden Island case. The room shifts. Hera, seconds ago holding power, is now the one being cornered.
