Naga Beats Elias, Rejects Ramses as Father, and Demands Callian's Underworld Trial Naga defeats Prince Elias inside the palace walls, and Pharaoh Ramses finally sees the force he let slip away. Ramses and the Great Queen offer to care for Merot, but only if Naga bows to court etiquette and plays the royal daughter. Merot tells her not to trade power for comfort and hints at the Eye of Ra. Naga returns to the throne hall with terms of her own: guaranteed resources to grow stronger, and no claim on Ramses or the Queen as parents. When the Great Queen preaches ritual, Naga says manners do not win battles. Then she demands the same Underworld Trial qualification Callian was granted, putting the Queen's authority and Callian's place on the line. Ramses hasn't answered Naga's demand for Callian's Underworld Trial slot—what condition will he set before the gate opens, and will it cost Merot her protection?
